Nvidia Geforce 7300 in Dell E520
I am suspicious of a possible video card problem. When I look at images (a picture, for example), I see what appears to be random areas of different color, perhaps even a strange character several times in a row. They are usually repeated in groups of 8 or 10 and the groups typically repeat 2 or 3 times in an image. I also sometimes see repeated periods or dashes in yellow thorought the image or to the side of the image. I ran the Dell diagnostic utility and it said all was okay with video and memory, but I am not sure I believe it.
Does this sound like a video card problem?

If you have tried uninstalling and re installing with the latest drivers from nvidia then you might have a problem. I don't know for sure though. If you are looking for a replacement, this card will work fine. I have it in my 520.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127434&Tpk=msi%209600gt

Update I have tried to install the latest drivers from nVidia (but I did not uninstall first). Also, I noticed an excel document had faint yellow dashes throughout th etop half of the screen.
