Onboard Sound Help Please

I recently uninstalled my sound card which is now in another computer and I want the onboard sound back.  I cannot figure out how to turn it on and it didnt automatically do it for me.  As of right now, I have no sound.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  My specs are Dell Dimension 4300, Windows XP Pro, 512mb ram.  Thanks again.

go start~settings~control panel~system-
under the hardware tab, click on device manager. open sound video and game controllers.
select integrated audio device and toggle it to enable.

Restart the computer and keep tapping the F2 key at the Dell logo screen. You will get the system setup screen. Highlight integrated devices and press enter. Highlight sound and press the space bar to change it to on. Press escape twice, select to save changes and exit. Use either the resource cd to install the drivers or download the drivers from the following link.
