Optiplex 390 Error Code: 2000-0415

 Dear all,

I have dell optiplex 390, I am getting a ePSA diagnostic error code: 2000-0415

It also says to check all the cables and sensors.

In order to clarify this, I have taken out the entire motherboard outside the cabinet, and only connected the PSU, Monitor, KB and Mouse.

I have also tried clearing the BIOS, the firmware is an updated A11 version.

But Still, am getting a same error.

Kindly, help me out.

Thanking you in anticipation of a positive reply.

Regards,

Chidanand B

The code indicates that the intrusion switch has been activated, which means the case is open. If you have reset the switch and are still receiving the message, you should check to see that you have the latest bios update installed.

error code 2000:0415 Check cables

This error typically signifies that a specific cable is not connected or is not seated correctly, and will normally name the specific cable in question.

For Example

ERROR CODE:  2000 - 0415

Validation:  10577

Msg:  Cables - Check the following cables:  LCD Cable

Why are you testing?  What is the actual problem?

Dear All,

The ePSA Error Code : 2000-0415

Validation : 125880

[Admin NOTE: Service tag removed per TOU policy]

No other cables connected except, Monitor, KB & Mouse, with PSU.

My Desktop hasn't come with Chassi intrusion switch.

The machine is with the latest A11 BIOS.

Kindly guide, what else can be done on this...?

Thanking you

Please check the manual, page 8 for the location of your intrusion switch.  You will need to disable it from the BIOS if you've taken the MB out of the case.
