Optiplex 755 DT CPU

You cant Jump directly to A22. Upgrades should be done on XP with NO ANTIVIRUS software installed.  If it hangs during update the machine will be bricked.  It can take 30 minutes or more with no indication of what is happening before its done.

A19 or earlier may be required first.

I finally get to talk to the MAN. Hey speedstep. My unit already has the A22 in place I was not sure if there was another BIOS for the jump to the E8600. So I can relax and just put it in.

Core2 Duo E8600 may burn up the VRM on the motherboard.  Unless you have 305W tower I would not try it.  Q6700 is officially supported.

Higher End Processors may require the 375Watt Power Supply instead of the 305W power supply.

Bios updates should be done BEFORE trying to update the Processor.

Core 2 Quad Q6700 is supported with 305W power supply.
