Optiplex 760 MT Processor Upgrade
I've got an Optiplex 760 MT with the E8400 Core 2 Duo (3 GHz) processor. I wanted to know if the motherboard is compatible with a Core 2 Quad processor (I have a Q8200 laying around). I researched the issue and found a few posts but couldn't find anything that pertains to my particular motherboard. I have a G214D motherboard.

Probably not.
The Optiplex 760 was built with two different motherboards, the G214D version does not support Core 2 Quad processors
Only Core 2 Duo; FSB up to 1333 MHz, Pentium Dual-Core; FSB up to 800 MHz, Celeron; FSB up to 800 MHz.
