Optiplex 980 Power Supply
The Optiplex 980 mini tower is a bit of a strange machine with two PCI-E slots and no pci-e power connectors. To make matters worse, it only has a 350W power supply. The icing on the cake is the fact that it uses a proprietary atx motherboard connector.
I need to replace this power supply. Can someone tell me where to find an adapter to convert a normal 24pin ATX power connector to this mini connector?

Thanks Chris, but I think I need something more like this: http://www.directron.com/hp24mini.html
I'm not 100% sure that's going to work, though. I can't seem to find one that is 24pin to 24pin mini, that one is 20pin to 24pin mini. If I can't find anything else I'll just try a power supply with a 20+4 pin connector and that adapter.
EDIT: I tried the adapter linked above and it does not work. The 980's mother board connector doesn't even use the same order for the wires. You could (and some people have) rewire the adapter so that it will work. I ended up breaking several of the pins when I tried and finally just gave up.

I would like to know about this as well. I just started hooking up a 980, and while I expected the crazy BTX
(It is why I got the 980, knowing it had a second PCIE slot. And the lack of expandability of the top PCIE slot in BTX configurations.)
Regardless, I open the case, to add in a 5770, and bam the PSU is 305W and proritary. Premiere tells me there is no upgrade to this, so now I am stuck.
Please advise.

Not yet, unless you want to buy the adapter linked above and try to rewire it.

Any update on this. Trying to find an adapter I can use to connect the power supplies from our 960's and 980's to a power supply tester and can only find the HP version.
