Optiplex G1 and Firewire

Stupid question....

I need to add a180GB external hard drive to an Optiplex G1.  Will this model support a firewire card?

If there is a free PCI slot, then it should. Buy the firewire card, install it, and you should be good to go

Yes it will. The Maxtor Firewire card is easy to install. Or you can get a soundblaster Audigy Gamer card that has a firewire port on it and disable onboard sound to get firewire and PCI sound.
