Optiplex gx110 bios error

I have installed a GX1_A10 bios update in error on a Optiplex GX110 machine. It continuously loops from the Dell splash screen to Starting Windows screen. It will not boot to any bootable floopy disk at this point. I have tried going into setup and cleared the bios (Alt & F), cleared ESCD and the bios still reflects GX1 ver A10. Any suggestions from anyone as to how to get the correct bios installed or if I can correct this at this point?

thanks,

I'd be surprised if you could successfully flash the wrong bios, especially as, if the Windoze logo starts, it seems as if the motherboard is working - although the GX110 may be similar enough to the GX1 to allow this to happen (I've been wrong with bold statements like this before...)..

Take the machine back to just motherboard, memory, and floppy drive - remove the riser card and IDE device cables.  Go into the bios, reset the NVRAM (see the procedure documented on Dell's web site - its more than just Alt F....), then verify the floppy drive is detected properly.  Verify the bios identifier during post and on the bios screens - the GX1 bios displays a dos-like screen on a black background with several pages accessed by Alt+P, the GX110 a grey background screen where you scroll to reach all the settings.  Then try a boot floppy followed by the bios flash if necessary.
