Optiplex GX280

Hello guys! I am a roocky with a Optiplex GX280 I tried to upgrade RAM on it, when I tried to boot it back up The Computer beeps 2 or 3 times and locked up!, I returned the 512 (2 dimm ) and I worked! Any Idea?

sounds like the new memory doesn't work with your PC.

What partnumbers (SKU numbers) did you buy? The GX280 requires DDR2 memory. I'm wondering what parts you bought.

Thats not dell part numbers.
What is your serial number/service tag?

What are the dell part numbers that you "ordered" from dell.

Thanks all for your help!. I did talk to somebody on support and he told me I got the wrong DIMMS he said I should not use "ECC" Dimms on a OPTIPLEX. I am going to get them return and get some  different kind .
