overseas power supply
I purchased a Dimension 4600 in October 2004 in the US. I moved to Dublin, Ireland in December 2004 and was wondering if Dell supplies a different power cord that I can purchase to use with my computer. The power over here is 220v and my computer is set up for 110v. Does anyone know if this is a possibility?

The power supply in your system should have a switch on the back of it for 220v operation. To purchase a power cord for use in Ireland, you will need to call the Dell Techies in Ireland. Here are the phone numbers to Dell in Ireland:

You can flip the switch to 220v and use an adapter for the plug. A power convertor will convert the 220v to 110v. If you are using your US monitor, you will need the power convertor since the monitor will only run on 110v.
