PC100 or PC133
If I change my RAM to PC133 will my system run faster?

If the motherboard & BIOS are not designed to take faster memory then you would not notice or gain any improvement. 133 memory will normally work in an older machine, but will run at the slower bspeed of the older machine.
I have 133 memory, ex Dimension D4100, in a Dimension R450 running fine. The increased speed does not and cannot affect the performance, but the increased memory does.

Glad to help.
With an ATA 100 hard disk you would probably find that a replacement PCI ATA control card either 133 or 100 would improve your system performance. I have a Promise ATA 133 TX2 controller installed, to allow me to use more than 4 IDE devices.
Your system motherboard ATA controller will be either 33 or 66, no doubt someone will correct me if I'm wrong, for which I apologise.
There are numerous posts about installing these cards over on the upgrade hardware forum. Basically install card, Install drivers then transfer / connect hard disk to new ATA controller with higher specification IDE cable normally supplied.

Hi,
No. But if you use the Crucial RAM picker at my site it does show PC133 listed for your system model. I can only guess that Dell's BIOS allows the use of PC133 in your system, and even though it will only run at PC100 speeds Crucial offers it in case you could use it in another system later.
