pc800 rdram vs. pc1066 rdram

From a non-technical standpoint, I doubt the user will be able to tell any difference at all.  My guess is that the only time you could see a difference is when you are running benchmark utilities, and are looking at the results chart.

3 to 5% was in an article I read in PC World or PC Mag.  Both available online.

thank's twhited,rickmktg,& thereal-dbk4297 for your replies!  I feel I should be more specific about my concerns in this matter. I had purchased my first computer fron dell in the begining of oct 2002;  a dimension 8200 2.53ghz,512mb pc800,80gighd,ati 9700 pro, turtle beach, ada 995's,16x dvd&48x24x48 cdrw. turns out that the first computer &speakers were defective. received 2nd computer speakers were good but this tower also defective; got dell to send out another tower should be here in a couple of days but I am not surer if I should accept it. if I returned the whole system I could get credit and reorder a 8250 p2.8g 512mb pc1066 ram,120gbhd & same drive config for the same price as my original system but with the sacrifice of not getting xppro & small bussiness which i currently have.

thanks for the quick reply thereal-dbk4297 i appreciate it. i am inclined to agree with you after some delibiration not only for overal memory bandwith increase but also for the better upgradability of the 8250.
