PCI spec. version

In fact, this is an other question. Your reply was very helpfull because it has solved one of my actual problems. But I am
also looking for a way to know whether my board will or will not work in other PCs that other people using my board could want to use.

You may be able to determine which specific models are PCI 2.2 compliant, by clicking on the Reference tab at the top of the Dell Forum Window, then click on "User's Guides", then "Systems", then choose the product line and model numbers for each model.  When the reference guide for each model loads, you can click on "Technical Specifications" for that system.  Note that for the later models, it often doesn't tell you the PCI version, probably because it just assumes that anything built since about 1998 have PCI 2.2.  But, as you look at models that came out closer to the initial release of PCI 2.2, it does state the PCI version.

Hi. I'm just updating this thread because my initial search on "PCI 2.1 compliant" yeilded no results.

If you're wondering what volcano11's response was, to paraphrase:

"The PCI 2.2 specification became standard around 1999.  All Dell computers built since then have PCI slots that are specification 2.2 compliant."
