PCIe Power Cable

Question

Installed a PCIe graphics card which needed a power cable connected directly to the card.  Noticed two cables that looked to have the right size connector and used the one which had a yellow cap on it because it was closest to the card.  Video card works fine but was curious what the other power cable with the black cap is for?

Both come from the PSU along with all the flat cables for the hard drive, etc.  BTW it's a Dimension 8400 which only has one PCIe slot, which is why I was wondering about the two connectors.  Thanks for the reply.

Would be interested in how this works out for you, as I also have a Dimension 8400 desktop and am looking to upgrade the video card from a Radeon X700 pro, and the Nvidia 7900GT looks to be about the biggest thing this motherboard/PSU will handle, as very as mid-high recent cards. thanks,

The P10 cable was the one I had connected so all is well.  Thanks again for the help.  As for the card itself, I upgraded from the Geforce 7300GS and am completely satisfied with the 7900GT.  I bought the BFG Technologies OC model because of the lifetime warranty and preference for NVidia drivers over ATI's Catalyst drivers.  Installation was quick and easy, except for not being sure about which power cable to use.  The P10 cable is clearly marked so finding it is not a problem once you know it's the right one to connect.  No power or temperature issues at all and I've pushed it pretty hard to make sure.  Hope this helps.
