Anybody using this, and what do you think of it?

If you get a game that has been coded to take advantage of it, then its very good, however the bulk of games out there are not specifically written to take advantage of the physx card

It's never been worth it.  Chicken and egg problem.

Nvidia bought Ageia, and is apperently canning their hardware in favor of running their engine on the GPU instead.

I guess I should have been more specific in my query.
If the card is installed on a system, does it remain inactive until needed?
Does it cause any conflicts or problems with the system in general?

I'm not aware of any conflicts it causes, but not many people have them, so we probably wouldn't be hearing many reports even if it does cause issues.  It does install a service, which I'm not crazy about.

But there's no reason to buy one.  Even if you're interested in the technology, Ageia's future is in running that engine on graphics hardware.
