Precision 690, installing second processor

Hello there,

I have a Precision 690 workstation with a single Xeon 5060 Dual Core 3.2Ghz processor in it..

I would like to place another processor next to it, and found one online, a Dell Xeon 5060 with heatsink.

Now my question is, what does it take for this to work? Are there things that I should do first?

I have once placed a processor on a mainboard of a different pc.. Is there anything more to it, or is it simply plug&play?

Will the mainboard automatically initiate the processor, or do I have to adjust something else in hardware or software?

Anyway, maybe some1 here can give me some tips on this because I am a bit worried that it might not work orso..
