Precision M70 Memory Parity Error
--Customer Number 57642880--
Lately I've been getting dreaded blue screens of death with the following message:
*** Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity Check / Memory Parity Error
*** The system has halted ***
I have 1.5GB of memory installed in the system, all direct from Dell. I had 512MB preinstalled from the factory, and I installed 1GB myself when it arrived. These parity errors didn't start occuring until a few weeks after I installed the memory. Could it be that I have a bad stick in there? And how do I go about getting it replaced?
