Previous Fan Failure
I'm getting the previous fan failure on my Dimension 8200 desktop. When I opened it up, it was indeed very dusty. I cleaned out both the main fan (protected by the green shroud) and the video card fan. The main fan seems to be in better shape, and is definitely running now, at least somewhat (I can feel it blowing). I'm not sure on the video card fan. I cleared the system event log, but I'm still getting the message.
Does anyone know WITH CERTAINTY that either the main fan OR the video card fan can cause the problem? Can the main fan still be working somewhat and be registering a problem?
For the record, I didn't replace the fan - it's the same one as always.
Am I going to have to replace my video card? Any thoughts here? Thanks - any help would be appreciated.

jmwilder99,
Open the case cover and turn the PC on. Are all the fans spinning?

I did check the fans, and the main one (the one surrounded by the green shroud, I presume this is the "CPU cooling fan". It was still working (there was air blowing out of the top of my tower), but I couldn't tell (even with my PC cover open) whether the video card fan was working. I've had a video card fail on me on this machine before.
How can I tell for sure if the video card fan is working? Will that fan send the BIOS error message that I'm getting at bootup?
