Primary Display Controller setting not retained

Using BIOS A06 or A07 in my 8100 the setting for "Primary Display Controller" is not retained between boots. The setting reverts to "AUTO" everytime setup is started.

Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:

1) Hit F2 to modify BIOS Settings
2) Select "Integrated Devices"
3) Change "Primary Display Controller" to AGP
4) Hit Enter
5) Hit Escape
6) Select "Save settings and exit"
7) As soon as the computer begins to boot hit F2 to edit BIOS
8) Verify that "Integrated Devices/Primary Display Controller" has been reset to "Auto"

This has NOTHING to do with the devices drivers as suggested by one phone tech person since the OS has not loaded at this point, nor does it have anything to do with the installed video cards as suggested by a different tech support person. In fact, this BIOS setting is correctly supported in BIOS rev A02!

Resetting the BIOS to defaults does not retain the default setting of AGP after the next boot.

Has anyone else experienced this when trying to set up multiple monitors? The e-mail and phone tech support people are out of their league on this one an continue to pass the buck.

Does anyone have any way to contact someone at Dell in the BIOS support group so that I can explain it to someone who has a change of understanding the problem?

Thanks,
