Hi,

It sounds as if your video drivers have become corrupt.
You can try reinstalling the drivers through the 'Device Manager'. Right click on the 'My Computer' icon on your desktop and choose 'Properties. Go into the 'Device Manager' tab and double click on your 'Display Adaptor'. You will have an option to reinstall your drivers. You should find the drivers on a disk that came with your system.

Hi again,

Your video problem is now fixed?

You had sound, and now you don't?
Did you reinstall or try to reinstall the sound drivers?

I need to know what system model you have before I can help you further.

Darrell

Hi again,

Since I need to search for downloads ans drivers for your system I need your service tag number.
So let me get this straight.
You now have the video card drivers installed and working right? Please answer.
Your audio 'never' worked?
Your audio 'stopped working'? If so when, and what might have caused it?
What version of Windows do you now have? Did you 'upgrade' from another version? Is this a Dell install from the factory? Is this a clean install?
What problems are you having with your games? What games? Are the problems all the same in each game that has problems?

If you answer each question I ask, I/we can help you through this.

Mis Dos Centavos,
Darrell

Hi again,

For this -

These are the drivers for the AD1885 Integrated Audio that Dell says your system has -
IM_PNT_P4_4300〈=EN&lib=0&os=WME&searchtype=filter&devid=691" target=_blank>http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/results.asp?sid IM_PNT_P4_4300〈=EN&lib=0&os=WME&searchtype=filter&devid=691

Here is a full list of the drivers for your system -
http://support.dell.com/us/en/filelib/device.asp

Input your service tag and choose downloads - All

If I knew you video card model I would post it here my self.
Install the sound drivers.
Pick your video card and download and install those drivers.
Go to the Windows upgrade page -
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/default.htm

You want the DirectX upgrade, and any security upgrades the site offers for your system.
If you get stuck ask more, but supply as much information as you can.

Darrell
