Problems with my Dimension B110

So I was originally thinking my problem was a windows issue but after talking to the software people they told me to come here.

I have a lot of problems with System32/drivers/ntfs.sys. And Wins32 and I get ALL KINDS of message errors. At this point I REALLY don't know what the central problems is.And I did the PC restore like the phone Dell man told me to do. My computer still has all of it's little problems it had before. So i was suppicious about my hardware.

Somehow somebody said that one of my RAM chips had gone bad.  Is this the problem? If so, what do I do? Where do I fix it? And Dell WILL pay for my problem, right?

You don't know how much this means to me, fellow men and women

If this is happening right after doing a full PC Restore, I suspect you have a faulty hard drive. Try this. Reboot your computer. At the Dell blue logo screen, press the Ctrl + Alt + D keys at the same time. The computer beeps once to acknowledge that the hard drive diagnostics have been initiated. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Please post back and let me know what you get. If the drive is bad, YES, Dell will replace it.

Sorry about the wait

This was the message I got after the test

Primary IOE

Drive 0- ST38011A- pass

Drive 1- No IOE device

Secondary IOE

Drive 0- NEC DVD+/-RW No-3530A- Diagnostics not supported

Drive 1- No IOE device

Test complete

So, a new hardrive.... do people's hardrives just mess up randomly? I didn't download a virus or anything like that.

Ok, your results indicate the drive is fine. My next suggestion would be to post your question in the Windows XP forum, since the errors you mention indicate a Windows problem.
