processor

Can I take the processor (2.6 GH) from a Dell 2400 and put it in a Dell 2350(1.6 GH)?

SL6VU is a 400MHz Celeron and should be compatible with the Dimension 2350

SL7E3 is a 800MHz Prescott core and is not compatible with the 2350.

SL7PM is a 800MHz Prescott core and is not compatible with the 2350.

The maximum processor the 2350 supports, is a Socket 478, Northwood, P4, 2.80GHz 400MHz FSB, 512K cache

BIOS version A02 has updated support for newer Pentium 4 and Celeron CPU's.

The 2350 can only accept 400mhz CPUs, so I don't think the 2400 CPU will be compatible.

Please post the sSpec number that's etched on top of the 2.6GHz processor.
