PSU Upgrade

I own a Dell Dimen. 4100 w/ an Intel Easton D815EEA MoBo. I want to upgrade my existig 200W PSU to an Antec 430W model. Any issues of incompatibility with Dell and Antecs? Thanks in advance

Yes. The 4100 uses a proprietary power supply. You'll either need to buy from PC Power and Cooling (www.pcpowercooling.com) or buy a converter cable (www.endpcnoise.com).

I own a Dimension 4600. I was looking to buy the Antec NeoPower 480. I was going to call Antec first and ask if it'll work, but I will ask here first, can I use that PSU?

Thanks.

I called Antec and was told that PSU has a power on-off switch. Does that mean I will have to modify the tower to make it fit or will it just slide in and work?

If modifications need to be made then can anyone suggest a PSU that will work right out of the box?

Check out Sparkle PSUs and www.newegg.com  If you use a PSU that has a switch, then you will have to modify the case back panel.

Bev,

Thank you so much for your help. Do you have any feelings on the PC Power & Cooling Turbo-Cool 425 Dell Deluxe PSU?

Thanks!

That should be suitable.   PCP&C make excellent power supplies.
