Question Regarding Enabling Bios - OS install mode

I'm about to do a clean install for my Dell Dimension 8300, p4 2.8C. 
 
Do I need to enable the OS Install Mode in the Bios before I attempt to install WindowsXP Pro?  Or do I just leave the OS Install Mode to OFF and install WindowsXP Pro?
 
And if I don't need to change the OS Install Mode to ON, then why is it there?
 
(I have 512mb of RAM in this system.)

The OS Install Mode option limits the amount of RAM available to the operating system during installation.  This feature is primarily for use on systems with a lot of installed RAM as some operating systems will not install on a machine with over 2 gig of memory on board.  In your situation you should have a problem and should leave this setting alone.

"In your situation you should have a problem and should leave this setting alone. "<-- I assume you mean that I shouldn't have a problem installing Windows XP and that I should just leave the OS Install Mode to OFF (default).

That's correct.  My apologies for the typo.  I'm currently dealing with a cold and fever here so the thoughts in my head don't necessarily translate well to the keyboard. :smileysad:
