RAM UPGRADE
HELLO THERE..I AM RE-POSTING MY QUESTION AS I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE TO THIS AS YET...
HI GUYS. I HAVE A DELL STUDIO XPS 435 DESKTOP. FACTORY FITTED 6 X 1 gig RAM MODULES. ( TOTAL 6 GIG ). CAN I UPGRADE TO 6 X 4 GIG RAM MODULES ( total 24 gig ).
WILL THE MOTHERBOARD ACCEPT THAT. I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE 64 BIT, Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67 GHz PROCESSOR with A 1 TB HARDRIVE.
Will the system crash or bluescreen...BASICALLY I NEED SUPERFAST SPEED AS I DO A LOTTA GRAPHIC DESIGNING & I INTEND USING ADOBE PHOTOSHOP...PLEASE ADVISE..

Yes, the system will take up to 6 4G modules, 24 G total RAM.

What version of Photoshop are you using? If you aren't using CS4 or higher, you will only have a 32-bit version of Photoshop installed, meaning you can't use more than ~3GB for Photoshop anyway, regardless of how much is installed and how much Windows recognizes, making an upgrade to 24GB meaningless (if PS is your primary reason for upgrading).
