Re: Optiplex 755 chipset?
They have always been G33 based. I too have noticed the rebooting issue, and of course Dell techs tell you to try bios updates, etc. But we have deployed these Dells using Ghosted images at multiple locations, and invariably, a few go through the boot cycle. Now the funny thing is, I have seen some similar behaviors on Intel G33 and Q35 based motherboards, but not nearly as widespread as we have on these Optiplex 755s. The problem is, alot of our clients have specific locations and mounts for these PCs that do not always allow them to unplug the machines to do a cold boot, as this will always work after it clears power from the motherboard. It doesn't help that dell has gone to using Foxconn to make these motherboards either...
So anyone with similar problems or insight, please chime in. I wish we could get a sticky thread containing all of the info on the Optiplex 755 reboot issues.

unless a mod separated this on purpose... cause I did post it in that thread at first...
Dell support thinks it might be a power supply or the I/O panel. They are gonna send me one of each for testing. Just wanted to update you guys on it.

Optiplex 755 is Q35 chipset. Optiplex 330 is G33 chipset.
Optiplex 755 without vPro preconfigured has it permanently disabled during Manufacturing mode, from what I read on Dell Support docs. So it should be Q35 all across.
