(redirected) 305w Imaging Toolbox

I believe I may have posted this request for assistance in a different forum. However, I have a 3646 desktop using Windows 8.1 and have usb connected my 305w printer to it in. However, the Dell Imaging Toolbox was not setup at that time and I had to use the CD/DVD that came with the printer which gave the choice to either XP or Vista as the OS, but not 8.1. I made the "assumption" that the 3646 would seek out an upgrade to allow the Toolbox to be used with 8.1 as I have a lot of scanning to do. It did come back and request a Microsoft Net framework (there is a screen display requesting a download every time I click on the Toolbox onscreen shortcut icon) download which I have already performed. What can I do to get the 305w Imaging Toolbox to perform using 8.1? By the way, I can use the 305w to print with both my 3646 and my laptop on which I can use the Toolbox as it is using the Vista OS.
