As per my previous answer. If you only have a simple problem. Post back with what it is and we can try and help. If you will not tell us what the simple fault you have been avised to re-install Windows to cure is, we CANNOT help.
It is not necessary to re-install Windows just because a "techie" tells you to. It is their generic fix for almost anything they cannot help you with, or even if they cannot as is unfortunately often the case, they cannot be bothered to try and help you with.
Its too difficult, it will take too long, so re-install Windows.
If they don't know then the standard answer is re-install Windows It can as I have said cause you more problems than a clean re-install.
Would you let a garage put a new engine in your car, if they could not find something you reported as a minor fault.
Please tell us what the fault you advise is simple is, then we can help.
If you wish to go ahead and re-install Windows without letting anyone try and solve this simple problem, then I cannot help anymore.
Bob11's link will give you the instructions you need. However, if you are only going to reinstall Windows 95 (which, unlike Windows 98 SE, does not produce an unstable system if it is reinstalled over itself)
do not format your hard disk before reinstalling Windows. If you do so, you will lose all the contents of your C:\ partition.

Greg tells me in the threads just below these that it is a simple fault and he has been advised to re-install Windows.
I've tried to advise it is not always necessary but this appears to have failed
