Removing from Startup

By removing programs from the Startup menu, will I make these unavailable? I ask because it asks whether you really want to send everything to the Recycle Bin. Thanks.

You do not have to actually delete the shortcuts from the Startup group to force them to stop loading at bootup. Go to START | RUN, and in the Open box type "MSCONFIG" and click OK; in the Startup tab, you can uncheck items that you do not wish to load at bootup.

There is another way to remove items from startup.

Click start / programs / accessories / system tools / system information
With the system info program open, click on tools and scroll down to system configuration utility. Click the startup tab at the top. In here, you can look to see just what programs are loading at startup and uncheck any that you dont want to load any longer.

You can run with the big dogs or sit on the porch and bark
