Selective vs. Normal startup
Everytime my computer boots, it says it is in the selective startup mode for troubleshooting. When I try to change it to normal, it starts up all of the programs in the startup folder. I don't want all of them to start, so I uncheck them, but it changes back to selective startup. Is this ok. Can I leave it as a selective startup. If not, how do I make it start normally without starting every program?

Yes...once you have disabled some of your startup group, this IS Selective Startup. By choosing "Normal", all your de-selected items are re-selected. Check the prompt to not appear again and forget it.
