Service tech.
Anyone have any information as how to become a dell service tech for a specific area?
I have done this before with premireaccess but I would like to become a service tech for replacing/repairing dell systems under warranty.

Don't they offer contracted out work... like $xx.xx per service repair for techs.
also banctec does installs and such for them

Get a job with the contract service provider for Dell in your area.

You would have to contact the 3rd party service provider for a job since Dell, and many other companies, do not have their own field service department. When they contract it out, the contractor is responsible for providing the technicians. There may be a clause in the contract that the 3rd party techs need to be certified, for example by Dell, but that certification is only done after someone is hired.
The Hardware Help Desk that I used to manage (before I retired) had to be Dell certified for troubleshooting, so they could turn in trouble reports based on our help desk troubleshooting rather than have our users calling Dell direct. This was a large Federal Government Agency and the contract the Agency had with Dell stipulated the government's own techs would be doing the troubleshooting and turning in trouble calls. As this was a multi-vendor network we did the troubleshooting for all equipment and the vendors would respond based on our troubleshooting.

I live in a different area now and there isn't companies near that offer warranty work for major vendors. So I was thinking about doing it locally, even if it means starting my own small business...
Just thought maybe someone was doing this on a smaller scale, I did notice that thru "premieraccess" they require at least 2 techs I think I read.. Which I could probably setup.
but I'm not sure about how to get started with dell.. I think its thru
