* Does this issue also occur in safemode? If not, some software running in the background in normal mode is the culprit.
* Restart the computer
* At the first beep (older systems) or on the blue Dell screen (new systems), tap the F8 key (do not hold it down)
* At some point, the Advanced Options menu will appear
* Scroll to and select Safe Mode [press the Enter key]
* At the operating system listing [press the Enter key]
* Windows will start in Safe Mode. Close any boxes that may open, just get to the desktop
* Open notepad and check the keyboard
It sounds like you want UK English keyboard mapping.
Use Windows Help and Support, use search term "keyboard layout", you will find instruction on how to use the Regional and Language Options in Control Panel to set any language mapping you want.
Not really - I do quite well enough with classes of size 30 - don't need the whole world depending on me. I just pop in and help here now and then - paying back for help I've recieved over the years.
