Slow Boot, Slow Internet, Not able to work on Java stuffs

Hi ,

This is KSPrakash. I already sent one mail regarding Booting problem.
I got suggestion from one person through support.dell.com but still the problem exist.
Moreover
In order to work on Java Stuffs we need to set the classpath of some directories.
So i was trying to set up the directories in the autoexec.bat but when i run after setting
the classpath it says 'out of environment space' but at the sametime I was able to run the same code on Win95 and WinNT.
I am not happy with the system.
Moreover the internet is not connecting properly. I am always connecting through the Freelane Service which is free internet service. I am able to connect fast and works fast also.
Dell connection (Paid) is very slow. Nowadays I am able to check my dell mail also I don't know what happened it is not working properly.
I am feeling sorry about my system.
Can you do me a favour. If I want to install WIN95 or WINNT can I do that.
Otherwise somebody from dell can come and do install win95/Winnt and related softwares.
Because I am having one year warranty.
I hope dell will help me in this.

Prakash

I don't know about most of your problems, but the "out of environment space" message is easy to fix. Win98 sets a very small environment space by default and it gets used up pretty fast. To fix that, you need to add a line to CONFIG.SYS which will read "Shell= C:\windows\command\COMMAND.COM /e:nnn /p" where "nnn" is the specified size of the environment in multiples of 16, from 160 to 32,768. And of course you should specify the actual path to your copy of command.com. the "/p" states that this is the parent copy of command.com, not a secondary one. A good starting value for E is 1024.

I tried in the afternoon. I was getting error wrong parameter.
Just tell me the exact synatx so it will be helpful for me.
You have specified E-value.
Where should i give
like
"Shell= C:\windows\COMMAND.COM /1024:nnn /p"

I'm sorry to say I know nothing about Java. I hope someone else does, and can help you. It might be a good idea to repost the question Java problems as the subject line.
