Slow click response

When I click on anything I sometimes get a ten to fifteen second delay before it reacts. Any ideas as to why?

Ltromeo, this happens when you need to run your defragmentation utility. Your program files are in need of spring cleaning. You may find this utility by using Start/Programs/accessories, and on the menu choose system tools/defragment. Defrag the partitions on your hard drive one at a time, starting with C.

I don't know, but I am having the same problem. I have had to reformat and reinstall Win 98 twice since I have purchased my new machine. XPS T500.

The computer ran like a champ for about 4 months and then, nothing but trouble. My CD-DVD drive went bad and had to be replaced.

Any body out there know what is wrong with these machines? I ran the Intel Chipset program and I do not have the bad Intel sets that need replacing.

I am at my wits end. I am getting the same delays as Itromeo and numerous lockups.
