s.m.a.r.t enabling????

How do I go about enabling it. I can't seem to find it in my bios.

I own a DIM 8400.

hi depends on what hard drive you have. whgat manu etc and serial is it, you can find that under device manager... also if you install a program like fan speed, hdd temperature they will detect smart enabled hdds...

I have a couple of Maxtor and 1 WD. All relatively new. About 2- 3 yrs old.

hi your ST340014AS is smart capable http://www.seagate.com./support/disc/manuals/sata/cuda7200_sata_pm.pdf

your maxtor drives all have smart

your usb hard drives willn't have smart because of the usb chipset in the cases


download fanspeed see if they are detected
