Speaker buzzing A525

I recently got some new speakers with my new XPS 410. They are speakers A525 (2 speakers and a subwoofer). My problem is that there is a constant buzz/hum coming out of them when they are turned on. It is distracting especially when not listening to them. I hope there is some way to fix this so i'm not always turning them off and on plus trying to ignore the buzz when watching a movie or listening to music. Please help with any suggestions. I am sure the connection is secure to my computer plug in and it does it whether the mic is plugged in or not in the back. Thanks.

Do the speakers buzz if they are disconnected from the PC? (but  turned on).  If they do, then it's probably a bad power supply for the speakers.

Also, do you get buzzing if you plug in a headphone?  If not, that also says the speakers are the problem.

Thanks for the info. Looks like my speakers buzz whenever they are turned on whether my computer XPS410 is on or off. So I guess that means the power supply hopefully. Think I need to return them then, right?

If all the cables are connected properly (and fully) and it still buzzes, it's defective and if you can return them.

Well, it looks like the speakers are defective. Dell is sending me new ones as I type this. Thanks for your input and assistance.
