sstray.exe Entry point not found
I've just re-installed the Windows XP that came with my Dell E520.
I had just a little trouble getting the sound working but it was just a matter of installing the Sigmatel Audio driver from here.
However, although sound (and everything else) now works perfectly, when I boot the machine into Windows XP, I get this error:
sstray.exe Entry point not found
The procedure entry point LocalizeString could not be located in the dynamic link library STLang.dll
I see from Google that this is associated with the Sigmatel driver but no indication is provided as to how to get rid of it.
Can anybody help?

Thank you for the reply.
Actually, my hard disk looks very much different than it did when I bought this Dell E520 in that I've added quite a few partitions and extra OSes (including Windows 7 and Ubuntu). Additionally, I've deleted the Dell utility partition as it takes up the space of one valuable primary partition.
Nevertheless, I was able to get rid of my sstray.exe problem by opening up msconfig and unchecking sstray.exe in the Startup section. Still don't know what sstray.exe was supposed to do but I haven't noticed any problems or absences since its demise.

I thought the E520, like my E510 and many other Dell's has the Dell recovery partition on the hard drive, accessed by CTRL/F11 at boot up. That will restore the PC to the original power up condition and does not require any CD's, etc.
However, on a manual install the correct sequence is (1) Install Windows (2) Install chipset drivers (3) Install device drivers such as sound, video, etc. If you didn't follow this sequence it could be the problem.
