Stmgr causes error in WINTRUST.DLL

When I boot my system I get an error message "Stmgr has caused an error in WINTRUST.DLL. Stmgr will now close."

I click on 'OK', everything seems to start ok, but sometimes when I'm in MSIE, it will error out. Maybe the two arent' related, but it's my deduction that Stmgr and Wintrust.dll are there for a purpose, and if they arent' working correctly, who knows WHAT could be the results.

HELP!

judithashley,

You can find some information related to this error message (as well as some suggested actions to correct it) here. (It's down the page--do an Edit|Find (on this page) for stmgr to locate it.)
