Studio XPS 7100 Display problems
Hello all out there. I have a Studio XPS 7100 minitower, and I've been having a heck of a time connecting this PC to my 32" TV at home. When I got the computer, I upgraded to a video graphics card for gaming, and the card has the usual video output ports: DVI, HDMI, and VGA. When I connect to the TV with the VGA, it works, but it's a little choppy. When I connect with the DVI, using a DVI to HDMI cable, it works, but I can't adjust the screen resolution. When I connect using a straight HDMI cable, there's NO SIGNAL on the TV. Am I missing something here? Am I possibly missing a driver? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.

Harish R,
Of course, Drivers! Why didn't I think of this. Updated / installed needed drivers, and now, I'm looking at my beautiful display on my TV.
Thanks for the quick response / solution.

Me again... Forgot to mention that I have double checked the HDMI cable to make sure it works. It does.

Hi hippieangst,
Incorrect selection of Input source on Television or a corrupt video driver may cause of this issue. Request you to try below mentioned steps to resolve this issue.
1. Update the latest video driver from the video card manufacturer's website.
2. Set the input source on your HDTV to the appropriate HDMI port (e.g. HDMI1,HDMI2 depending on the port the HDMI cable is connected to on the TV). The source may also be referred to as Input or TV Video on your remote.
If this doesn't fix the issue request you to share the video card details and the model of the TV to help you further.
Let us know in case of any queries.
Thanks and Regards
Harish R
