sudden shutdown

I have a Dimension 2400, Today it has suddenly shut down several times. I can start it up again without any trouble. I was working with Word Perfect, and it saved my work because of an abnormal shut-down. Does anyone have a clue as to the cause of this problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated in advance.
