System Drive Letters

drive letters can be changed in disk management.

If the letter E is already taken by another drive, change that drive letter first, then you can assign E to the drive you want.

No biggie, they can learn from both of us.

If your OS is Win XP:  Right click on My Computer, scroll down to and click Manage.  The Computer Management box will open.  Click on Disk Management.   To the right, you'll see a list of your computer's hard drives and at the bottom your hard drives and rom drives are listed.  Right click on the drive you want to change in the small box to the right adjacent of your listed drives.  Click Change Drive Letter and Paths then click Change then click Assign the following drive letter.  Nex click the drive letter you want to assign to the drive and finish by clicking OK.

 

I'm not sure if the progression is the same under Vista as I don't have Vista installed.

Thus far I am unable to use your information as indeed I have Vista.  I attempted to search for disk management on both my hard drive and in microsoft.  I found no results.
