To Dell: Error Message

My new Dimensions 4100 has crashed twice today and once yesterday. Error message is as follows: Kernel 32 caused a general protection fault in module user.EXE at 0001:000004d2.
Once the crash occurred when I was editing a musical card from Am. Greetings. Another time I crashed as I was trying to switch sounds on aol.

I know that these crashes can be damaging and I have only had this computer a few weeks. I want my new computer to work properly. Pat

Pat,

I am having the same problems too, my unit is approx one month old.

Did you get a response from Tech ?

No, I have not heard from Dell about this problem. I did, however, talk to a friend who is very knowledgable about these things. She says the problem is a Windows bug. She thinks there is a fix for it on the Windows web site. I have not found it as yet. Let me know if you find a solution.
