tv tuner dimension e520

my harddrive stopped working so i had it replaced and used the disks that came with the computor to reset everything but now when i try to set the media center to the tv all it tells me is "tuner not found" can anybody help and tell me what to look for on the disks please. thank you

There are two available TV tuner drivers for the E-520 in the drivers and downloads section. Identify the tuner you have and install it. WMC will then see it. Click the link below for E-520 video related drivers.

The link is drivers for XP Media Center. If you have Vista, use the drop down menu at the top on the page and select Vista.

i have just downloaded the driver that was on my original computor but i still get the same message tuner not found any other ideas please

It's difficult for anyone to provide specific support without knowing what operating system you're running on that E520. If it's Windows XP you have to install the desktop system software before any other device drivers, followed by the chipset software utility. Vista doesn't require the desktop system software but you must still install the chipset. Without these Windows won't be able to correctly identify items connected to the motherboard & you'll have problems installing other drivers.

Its windows xp so i did what you said about downloading system software etc and now it works. thank you all for your help
