TV Tuners

Hi

i want to but a digital tv tuner for my pc but am unsure which one i need..

i want a relatively decent one as ill be running it through my xbox 360 with media center onto a 30 inch lcd tv so i want good picture quality.

will probably be getting cable soon aswell so maybe with the capability of that also.
i wont be using it it for camcorders or vcr recordings.
ive looked at quite a few but im unsure which are compatible or what the differences between them are..

all i know is i want a pci one NOT usb.
any thoughts would be appreciated
thanks

Generally, TV Tuner cards & game consoles don't work well.  You'll find the lag is quite unsatisfactory.

OK.

is there any reason for this?  Is there no way to speed things up.

For whatever design reason, all TV tuners I've used/heard about have a.5 to 1 sec real time lag.  (Watch TV in one room, have Tuner on same channel gives a god example)

On my way right now- Circuit City

WinTV- HVR 1600 PCI   ATSC(QAM)/NTSC Dual Tuner    69.99!!!!

If you can swing it, make sure you get the model # 1178   product code 74021
when you update software on their sitek you'll get v.6, which haqs the QAM support. Most cable is in QAM.( THE retail box does not reflect the QAM su[pport, but you MUST get the correct model and product codes

BTW, Supports HDTV up to 1080p  :smileyhappy:
