Upgrade from integrated

Question

My nVidia GeForce is coming tomorrow and I will be upgrading from an Intel Integrated.  How difficult will this be to do?  I'm hoping it will be quick and easy, but I am prepared for quirky things to happen.  What I don't have a clue about is the order in which to do things.... Do I have to uninstall the old drivers first, put in the new card, then run the cd w/new drivers ?  Is there even a specific order in which things need to be done (including reboots??)  Will I need to restart at any time in safe mode?  *Do I have to mess with the BIOS? --(I don't even know how to get there, let alone what to do once I'm there!!) I want to do this once and and do it right, if possible-- no mistakes by me that will make the process long and aggravating.  Any hints? Ideas?  Links to lessons on going from integrated to a PCI card?    I plan to do this tomorrow night, but may have only about 2 hours to get everything working right.    Help would be SO welcomed!!!

I am not a rocket scientist when it comes to computers, but when I upgraded from integrated to ATi about 5 months ago, all I did was plug in the new card and that was it. Usually you will not have to uninstall your old drivers unless your new card does not work properly.

It didn't go well.  I installed the new nVidia GeForce 5200 and that was ok, installed the software, everything was recognized by the system.  Problem is... the intel integrated card still wants control (I think)  Didn't know what exactly to do, so I tried (through control panel) to diasable the integrated and uninstalled the drivers.  Everytime I reboot, I'm asked to locate the drivers for the Intel integrated card.  I decline that and I get a message saying that the system may not run properly.  Quess what, it doesn't.  Everything is slowed incredibly.  Not sure what this is due to.    I need some serious help.
