Upgrading Dimension 2400

Hey, i wan't to uprade my dimension 2400's video card. You all know that the one integrated into it (intel 3D extreme graphics) is pretty bad. So, i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what kind of card is the best for this system, and prefferably the less expensive one...Thanks again:smileyhappy:

I am/want to do the same thing. I have some questions about the card I am looking at. I am most likely going to buy it refurbished. Its a FX 5700LE. I'll tell you if it seems compatible with the 2400. Not having an AGP slot is such a pain. Dell should just spend a little more for better mobos. Good luck with your upgrade.

The Dimension 2400 is compatible with the 5700LE PCI card.  The FX5500 PCI card is very good with this computer too.  (I've got one!)

Do I need to upgrade to the dimension 3000 in order to use the 5700LE, or is it compatible with the 2400? And what about the FX5500?:smileyindifferent:

U dont need anything special.  The card will come with a CD that has the driver on it but when u do install it u might want to load the latest one which u can get at www.nvidia.com site.
