How do I upgrade from win95 to win98? Are there any known problems that might exist? I have the Dimension XPS M200s.
Hi,
If you just want to upgrade to Win98 SE all you need do is to buy the Windows CD and install it. It will upgrade right over your Win95 install. Yes, there are known problems upgrading "over" Win95. If you have any little problem with Win95 or your other software the upgrade can and does make these little problems into large ones. I suggest that you do a clean install of Win98SE. And since you most likely have only 2GB partitions, it would be a good time to fdisk into larger and more useful partitions sizes. You can find everything you need to fdisk and reinstall Windows at my site.
