Upgrading video Card

from what i know you can buy/change new card for your system without breaking your warranty.

rather than buying from dell that have limited option and also maybe more expensive than buying it yourself

just make sure check your pc compability before buying new cards

ex. powersupply requirement

you can run pretty much any current card out there. If you move to the 8800 series I would suggest a 8800GTS over a GTX.

Or you could move up to the 9800 series but with a couple of the cards you would need 6 to 8 pin adapters to help power the cards. 

 

My suggestion would be the 8800gts. it will be a direct fit, will double your graphics speed, and they are well priced. 

Shop on the net and don't use Dell. You will definatly save some money. 

 

And you will not void your warranty. 

Well according to Dell if one of the third party products in the computer does something to a Dell product the warranty is void.                                                                                                                               And since I have a 710 nothing works with it so I couldnt go out and buy a new motherboard or something if it went bad and I need that coverage, and when I last talked to Dell they said it would void the warranty on the computer and my computer always crashes and needs to be reformatted and the whole 9 yards.
