USB Identification
How can you tell which version of USB is on your machine. I am interested in purchasing an external CDR drive which uses USB 2.0 but don't want to until I am sure that I have version 2.0 on my machine. I have a Dimension 8200 2Gig machine.

"In other words to run a USB 2
- device you need a USB 2 port."
Not true Steve. You can run a USB 2 device on a non-USB 2 machine, you just can't take advantage of the increased speed a USB 2 device is capable of. I have a USB 2 scanner, and it runs just fine on my non-USB 2.0 machine.
