USB pen drive

I installed an USB pen drive (ByteStor 32 MB) on my windows XP-PC. (Dimension 8300). This pen drive has a floppy-drive partition of 1,4MB and an "F"-removable hard disk partition of 30 MB.
It works great, but when I remove the pen drive, I get a blue screen with
"BAD_POOL_CALLER" and the mention "STOP: 0X000000C2".
I found no conflicting IRQ... The pen drive is plug and play (no drivers
needed), but it seems not to be PULL and play...
Has anyone an idea?
Thanks in advance,
JefR

Do you use the safely disconnect feature in near the clock or do you just pull the drive.

I have tried both, with no difference at all....
